Zara Realty files plans for 21-unit resi building in Jamaica

Zara Realty Holding Corp., on March 2, filed a permit application for construction of a 21-unit, 20,600-square-foot residential building at 153-10 89th Avenue in Jamaica, Queens. George Subraj is the owner of Zara Realty Holding Corp.

There have been 31 new building plans, including these plans, filed in the neighborhood in the previous 12 months.

The plans call for the construction of a 84-foot-tall, nine-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00642532. The development site spans one tax lot.

The project is described in the filing as: filing nine-story residential building with 21 dwelling units, accessory off-street parking on first floor.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a lobby and parking space. Floors two through seven will each have three dwelling units per floor, the eighth floor will have two dwelling units, and the ninth floor will have one dwelling unit and recreation space. Of the total units, seven will be affordable.

The architect listed is Angelo Ng + Anthony Ng Architects.

The property was acquired for $710,000 on June 19, 2008.
