New film, tv production space with 75K sf planned for Maspeth

York Studios, on February 7, filed a permit application for construction of a 75,109-square-foot studio at 34-40 Laurel Hill Boulevard in Maspeth, Queens. John Pantanelli filed the plans.

The plans call for the construction of a 90-foot-tall, six-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00585858. The development site spans two tax lots.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a lobby, stage, and props room. The second floor will have assembly and storage spaces. The third floor will have dressing and makeup rooms. The fourth floor will have a wardrobe room and offices. The fifth floor will have offices and conference rooms. Floors five through eight will have production rooms, offices, and data rooms. The fifth floor will have a terraces.

The property was acquired for $7.5 million on September 24, 2020.
