VAJA Group files plans for 31-unit resi building in Fordham Manor
The VAJA Group, on February 8, filed a permit application for construction of a 31-unit, 21,298-square-foot residential building at 2556 Briggs Avenue in
Fordham Manor, the Bronx. Moses Freund, managing partner at the VAJA Group, filed the plans.
The past December, the developer filed plans for construction of a 152-unit, 102,994-square-foot residential building at 35-10 12th Street in Long Island City, Queens.
There have been six new building plans, including these plans, filed in the neighborhood in the previous 12 months. The six plans combined to call for the construction of 194 dwelling units.
The plans call for the construction of a 68-foot-tall, five-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number X00670154. The development site spans one tax lot.
The project is described in the filing as: proposed five-story, basement and cellar new building.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have two dwelling units and the upper halves of three duplex units. Floors two through five will each have six dwelling units per floor. The basement will have two dwelling units and the lower halves of three duplex units in conjunction with the ground floor. The cellar will have recreation space. The building will have 16 parking spaces.
The architect listed is S. Wieder Architect P.C.
Last July the developer filed plans or construction of a 73-unit, 53,929-square-foot mixed-use building at 1420 Stebbins Avenue in Morrisania, the Bronx.
