Yidel Hirsch permitted for 80-unit mixed-use building in Greenpoint

Yidel Hirsch, on November 23, was given a permit for construction of an 80-unit, 54,586-square-foot mixed-use building at 33 Franklin Street in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Both new building and foundation permits were issued.

The plans, pre-filed on July 1, 2020, call for the construction of an 80-foot tall, seven-story mixed-use building.

Renderings were released of the project earlier this year.

The project is described in the filings as: new seven-stories and cellar mixed-use building.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have 18 dwelling units and roof terraces. The second floor will have 19 dwelling units and recreation space. The third floor will have 18 dwelling units and recreation space. the fourth floor will have 15 dwelling units, recreation space, and roof terraces. The fifth floor will have four dwelling units, recreation space, and terraces. The sixth floor will have four dwelling units with terraces while the seventh floor will have two dwelling units with terraces. The cellar will have parking space and retail space.

StudiosC is responsible for all exterior and interior design for the development.

The property was acquired for $18.5 million on March 27, 2020.
