Plans filed for enlargement of Highbridge resi building from two units to 25 units

On November 25, plans were filed for an enlargement of a two-unit residential building to a 25-unit residential building at 52 West 176th Street in Highbridge, the Bronx.

Herman Jakob filed the plans, while Nazeela Ali was the signatory when the property was purchased for $520,000 on April 11, 2018.

The plans call for the increase in size of the building from a 27-foot tall, two-story building with two dwelling units to a 57-foot tall, four-story building with 25 dwelling units. This was filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number X00635785. The development site spans one tax lot.

The project is described in the filing as: Existing two-story two-family building, to be enlarged horizontally and vertically to a four-story and penthouse 25-unit building with no onsite parking.

According to the plans, the ground floor will be converted from one dwelling unit to four dwelling units. The second floor will be converted from one dwelling unit to four dwelling units. The newly constructed third and fourth floors will each have six dwelling units per floor, while the penthouse will have two dwelling units.
