Weiss, Brunner permitted for 104-unit mixed-use building in Park Slope

Joel Weiss and Joseph Brunner, on October 1, were given a permit for construction of a 104-unit, 79,715-square-foot mixed-use building at 375 Dean Street in Park Slope. Weiss filed the plans while Joseph Brunner’s Bruman Realty acquired the property for $25 million on May 28, 2014. The pair have worked together on developments in the past, such as 1056 Manhattan Avenue, a 90-unit, 73,848-square-foot mixed-use building which received a TCO last year.

The plans were one of nine new buildings filed in Park Slope last year. The plans easily called for the construction of the most residential units of any of the buildings. This year there have been two plans for new buildings filed in the neighborhood.

The plans, pre-filed on October 1, 2020, call for the construction of a 125-foot tall, 12-story residential building.

The project is described in the filings as: proposing new 12-story and cellar mixed-use building.

The ground floor will have a residential lobby, health care space, parking for 13 cars, and retail space, per the plans. The second floor will have additional parking spaces. Floors three through five will each have 18 dwelling units, several units on the third and fifth floors will have private terraces. The sixth floor will have five dwelling units, a reading/office lounge, and recreation space. Floors seven through nine will each have nine dwelling units, while floors 10 through 12 will each have six dwelling units. Five of the 10th floor units will have private terraces and one of the 11th floor units will have a private terrace. The roof will have recreation space. The cellar will have commercial space.

S. Wieder Architects is listed as the architect on the filing.
