W-G Capital files plans for 210-unit mixed-use building in Red Hook

W-G Capital, on October 14, filed a permit application for construction of a 210-unit, 300,000-square-foot mixed-use building at 145 Wolcott Street in Red Hook, Brooklyn.

W-G Capital is a joint venture initiative of West Group and Greencourt Group. The plans were filed by DRAW Brooklyn, with Alexandros Washburn as the owner representative.

The plans call for the construction of a 172-foot tall, 15-story mixed-use building.

The project is described in the filings as: construct a new 15-story mixed-use building containing residential apartments, commercial stores and offices, manufacturing spaces, art gallery, and accessory parking.

The ground floor will have an office, manufacturing spaces, art gallery, and eating and drinking establishments, according to the plans. The second floor will have 16 dwelling units and an accessory terrace. Floors three and four will each have 10 dwelling units, along with the bottom and top halves of a total of nine duplex units. The fifth floor will have 26 dwelling units and office space, the sixth floor will have 31 dwelling units, the seventh floor will have 23 dwelling units and office space, floors eight through 11 will have 12 dwelling units, floors 12 and 13 will have 11 dwelling units, while floors 14 and 15 will each have eight dwelling units.

Arquitectonica is the architecture firm listed.

Demolition plans have not yet been filed. The property, which W-G Capital acquired for $21.5 million on August 29, 2019, is currently occupied by an 80,000-square-foot warehouse.
