Amritpal Sandhu files plans for 96-key hotel in Jamaica

Amritpal Sandhu through the company Liberty Tuck NY LLC, on October 14, filed a permit application for construction of a 96-key, 59,145-square-foot hotel building at 104-16 Tuckerton Street in Jamaica, Queens.

The plans call for the construction of an 84-foot tall, eight-story hotel building.

The project is described in the filings as: this application is filed for new eight-story transient hotel with community facility (1 zoning lot with 2 tax lots 15 and 50; and air rights from lots 10, 12, and 58).

The building’s cellar will have five hotel rooms, an ambulatory diagnostic space, a laundry room, an exercise room, and a breakfast room, according to the plans. The ground floor will have a reception area, lounge, and an additional ambulatory diagnostic space. Floors two through eight will each have 13 hotel rooms.

The property was acquired for just under $6 million on November 13, 2018.

The developer originally filed plans to construct the hotel in 2018, however the plans were disapproved.

Demolition plans have not been filed and an estimated completion date has not been announced.
