Vornado Realty Trust files plans for $4.8M tenant fit-out at 150 East 86th Street
Vornado Realty Trust, on August 7, filed a permit application for a $4.8 million tenant fit-out of retail space at 150 East 86th Street in the Upper East Side.
The plans call for work on sub-cellar, cellar, and ground floor of the 208-foot tall, 18-story, building.
The project is described in the filings as: interior demolition and construction during fit-out for retail store. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $4,768,108.
While the plans do not explicitly state who the tenant is, Target signed a 20-year lease with the developer for the 55,614-square-foot retail condo at the base of the building in June, as PincusCo first reported. Target will be replacing Barnes & Noble. The bookseller is leaving the building in search of a smaller location.
Vornado had not filed plans at the property this year until August 7. The firm has been active elsewhere, however. On July 21, Vornado filed a permit application for a $5.9 million rehabilitation of multiple floors at 2 Penn Plaza. Two days later, they closed on a $99.9 million deal to sell the penthouse at 220 Central Park South,
