Plans filed for $3.5M build out of 68th floor unit at Vornado’s 220 Central Park South
Vornado Realty Trust, on July 20, filed a permit application for a $3.5 million build out of a 68th floor unit recently purchased at 220 Central Park South in Central Park South.
The plans call for a build out of a condo on the 68th floor of the 1033-foot tall, 70-story, building.
The project is described in the filings as: replacement of existing wall paneling and doors, refinishing existing wood flooring on 58th floors construction/68th floor marketing as shown on drawings filed herewith. No change in use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $3,518,795.
Vornado closed a deal on February 14, 2020, to sell the condo for $26.8 million to a buyer represented by the law firm Cohen & Frankel, LLP. The deal was recorded on May 7, 2020.
On June 9, Vornado filed a permit application for a $3.8 million build out of apartment 34A in the building, which sold on December 3, 2019 for $30.9 million.
Vornado has filed plans for a series of renovations at the building so far in 2020. Ken Griffin paid a record setting $238 million for the 50th floor to the 53rd floor of the building in 2019.
