NYC finishes $2.3M rehab at one school, files plans for $9M rehab at second
NYC School Construction Authority, on July 20, completed a $2.3 million rehab of a school building at 101 Maujer Street in East Williamsburg.
The plans, pre-filed on March 28, 2013, call for a rehab of the basement and all five floors of the 80-foot tall, 5-story, building. The plans were permitted on September 20, 2013.
The project is described in the filings as: window replacement, door replacement, exterior waterproofing, site work, masonry repair, steel repair, plaster repair, prep and paint. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $2,343,801.

On July 20, NYC SCA also filed a permit application for a $9 million rehab of several floors of a school building at 180 Chauncey Street in Brooklyn.
The plans call for a rehab of the cellar, roof, and all three floors of the 35-foot tall, 3-story, building.
The project is described in the filings as: mh- remove 2 existing oil fired boilers in the cellar with all associated controls , breeching , piping and replace with 2 new gas fire boilers with all associated controls, piping, breeching, motorized dampers and boiler chemical feeds and vacuum pumps as per plans filed herewith, no change to use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $9,000,000.

The NYC SCA has been extremely active lately, last week they completed a $4.3 million rehab of a school at 2780 Reservoir Avenue in Kingsbridge and filed two permit applications for a $10 million rehab of a school at 50 Navy Street in Brooklyn and a $7.5 million rehab of a school at 86-35 235th Court in Queens Village.
