Vornado files $53.5M plans to convert exhibition hall to film studio in Clinton

Vornado Realty Trust, on June 30, filed plans for a $53.5 million project to convert an exhibition hall to a television and movie production studio at 755 12th Avenue in Clinton, Manhattan.

The plans call for the increase in size and change in use of the building from a 44-story building to a 50-story building. This was filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00744166.

The project is described in the filing as: Alteration-CO for change of use from existing exhibition hall to television and movie production studios. Refer to comments section for additional information.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will be converted from an exhibition hall to a green room, makeup room, break room, and several stages. The second floor will have office space.

The architect listed is Aai Architects, P.C.

Correction: A prior version of this article incorrectly indicated the height of the building was just one foot. That reference has been removed.
