VAJA Group files plans for 22-unit resi building in Tremont

VAJA Group, on March 22, filed a permit application for construction of a 22-unit, 14,991-square-foot residential building at 2176 Bathgate Avenue in Tremont, Bronx. Moses Freund, managing partner at the VAJA Group, filed the plans.

Since December of 2021, the developer has filed at least nine new building plans. Most recently, the developer filed plans for a 72-unit, 56,397-square-foot mixed-use building at 978 Summit Avenue in Highbridge, Bronx.

The plans call for the construction of a 70-foot-tall, seven-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number X00700005. The development site spans one tax lot.

The project is described in the filing as: Proposed seven-story and cellar residential use building.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby. Floors two through six will each have four dwelling units per floor, and the seventh floor will have two dwelling units and recreation space.

The architect listed is S. Wieder Architect P.C.

The property was acquired for $400,000 on February 3, 2016.
