Urban Resource Institute files plans for 62-unit residential building in Fordham
Urban Resource Institute, on December 3, filed a permit application for construction of a 62-unit, 28,589-square-foot residential building at 2351 Walton Avenue in Fordham. An individual operating under Walton Avenue LLC purchased the property for $950,000 in January of 2017.
The plans call for the construction of a 115-foot tall, 12-story residential building.
The project is described in the filings as: erect new 12-story community facility new building.
The cellar of the building will have community facility space, offices, laundry, and multipurpose rooms, according to the plans. The ground floor will have a lobby and community room, and one dwelling unit. Floors two through nine will each have five dwelling units per floor, while floors 10 through 12 will each have four dwelling units per floor.
GF55 Architects is the architect behind the design.
The two-story building that previously occupied the property was demolished in November of 2018.
