United Construction & Development Group files plans for LIC demo

Jiashu Xu’s United Construction & Development Group, on October 7, filed a permit application for the demolition of a commercial building at 37-08 34th Street in Long Island City, Queens.

The developer acquired the property for $7.6 million on July 29, 2021. The previous owner of the property filed plans in 2015 for the construction of a 53-foot tall, five-story, 29,530-square-foot mixed-use building with 42 dwelling units. The plans were disapproved the same year but have not been withdrawn.

There have been 19 demolition plans filed in Long Island City so far this year.

The plans, pre-filed on October 7, 2021, call for the demolition of a two-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: this job is filed for demolition of two-story commercial building.
