UES funeral home fully permitted for $2.8M external rehab
The Frank E. Campbell Funeral Chapel, on August 12, was given a permit for a $2.8 million rehabilitation of the building’s exterior at 1076 Madison Avenue in the Upper East Side.
The plans, pre-filed on August 2, 2019, call for a rehab of the outside space, roof, and facade of the 50-foot tall, four-story, building.
The project is described in the filings as: facade restoration as per plans including the repair of existing window sills and lintels, masonry repair as well as stone patching of cracks and brick repointing. Roof replacement complete with flashing replacement as per drawings filed herewith. No change in use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $2,751,000.
Last month, $1,922,374 plans were filed at the property to add a mezzanine and outdoor terrace.
