Apple’s Soho store set for rehab as Centurion files $2.1M plan with DOB
Centurion Realty and Crown Acquisitions, on August 12, filed a permit application for a $2.1 million build-out of a retail building at 103 Prince Street in Soho for their tenant, Apple. It’s the first major rehabilitation of the space since plans were filed in 2011.
The new plans call for a rehab of the basement, roof, and floors one and two of the 35-foot tall, two-story, building.
The owners upped the debt to $75 million in March 2020.
The project is described in the filings as: store renovation (Apple). Work to include partition, ceiling, door modifications as indicated on plans filed herewith. No change in use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $2.075 million.
The property was acquired for $75 million in 2011 by Crown Acquisitions and Centurion Realty. The building has been occupied by New York City’s first Apple retail store since July 18, 2002.
Only two renovation projects have been filed at the property this year.
