Tzuchun Chen files plans for a 28K sf school building in Corona
Tzuchun Chen, on June 18, filed a permit application for construction of a 27,786-square-foot school building at 34-38 98th Street in Corona.
The plans call for the construction of a 53-foot tall, four-story building.
The project is described in the filings as: proposed four-story community facility building with cellar and bulkhead. Obtain a new certification of occupancy.
The cellar of the proposed building will be used for meter rooms, classrooms, storage, a kitchen, and all purpose rooms with an occupancy of 390 individuals, according to the plans filed. The ground floor will have a lobby, teacher work room and office, meeting rooms, social work’s room, mother’s room, nurse room, it room, and an all purpose room with an occupancy of 75 individuals. The second floor will be used for classrooms along with labs and storage space. The third and fourth floors will also be used for classrooms, while the fourth floor will also provide special education resource rooms. The roof of the building will have a terrace that can hold 60 individuals.
The architect on file is the National Design Corp.
The property was acquired for $4.8 million on March 9, 2020.
