Type A Projects receives TCO for 115-unit mixed-use building in Tremont
Ann Tirschwell and Jill Crawford’s Type A Projects, on December 18, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for construction of a 115-unit, 74,317-square-foot mixed-use building at 1490 Southern Boulevard in Tremont, the Bronx.
Type A Projects was selected by the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development to be responsible for development. Forsyth Street Advisors and non-profit partners JASA and LGBT Network were also part of the development team, according to reports.
The plans, pre-filed on December 21, 2017, call for the construction of a 101-foot tall, 10-story mixed-use building. The time from pre-file to TCO was three years.
The project is described in the filings as: new building.
Per the plans, the ground floor has a lobby, office, lounge, community room, laundry, open office area, and conference room. The second floor has 14 dwelling units, while floors three through seven each have 15 dwelling units per floor. The eighth floor has eight dwelling units, an exercise room, and a terrace. Floors nine and 10 each have 10 dwelling units per floor.
