Tishman Speyer finishes $4.2M build-out of retail at The JACX
Tishman Speyer, on October 14, formally completed a $4.2 million build-out of the cellar, mezzanine and first floor of an office building, known as The JACX, at 28-07 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City. Those floors will have retail and dining spaces.
The plans, pre-filed on June 25, 2019, call for a rehab of the cellar, mezzanine, and ground floor of the 396-foot tall, 27-story, building. The building was given its initial temporary certificate of occupancy on October 28, 2019.
The project is described in the filings as: construction of non-load bearing partitions, doors/frames, ceilings and related finishes. Construction of mezzanine level and stair. No change in use, egress or occupancy under this application. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $4,200,000.
Mirella Boselli is the architect named in the filing.
The 1.2 million square foot building was completely leased out by January of 2019. Tenants include Macy’s, New York-Presbyterian, Bloomingdale’s, WeWork, and Weill Cornell Medicine.
