BNY Mellon finishes $4.6M cafeteria rehab at an office building in Tribeca
Bank of New York Mellon, on October 14, formally completed a $4.6 million rehabilitation of a cafeteria space on one floor of an office building at 101 Barclay Street in Tribeca.
The plans, pre-filed on October 1, 2018, call for a rehab of the 16th floor of the 348-foot tall, 23-story, building.
The project is described in the filings as: installation of interior non-bearing partitions and related finishes on the 16th floor – east cafeteria. No change in use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $4,577,927.
Gensler was the architect for the project.
The property was acquired for $352 million on September 26, 2018 from NYC. BNY Mellon had originally acquired the ground lease for the building in 2013 for $164.4 million, before eventually purchasing the building entirely.
