Tiffany & Company files plans for $48.5M rehab at flagship office

Tiffany & Company, on October 8, filed a permit application for a $48.5 million rehabilitation and build-out of all floors of their flagship office at 727 Fifth Avenue in Plaza District.

The plans call for work on the cellar, mezzanine, roof, and all floors of the 133-foot tall, 11-story, building.

The project is described in the filings as: herewith filing for interior renovations and build out as per plans. no change to use or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $48,508,281.

CallisonRTKL Architects P.C. is the architect listed.

The building is also currently in the process of adding a three-story glass rooftop. The OMA-designed addition will replace an addition of similar height built in 1980.

The building, first opened in 1940, is expected to reopen in the spring of 2022.
