Tishman Speyer finishes $3.1M build-out for Oppenheimer at the Chrysler Building East
Tishman Speyer, on September 3, formally completed a $3.1 million tenant build-out of several floors of the Chrysler Building East at 666 Third Avenue in Grand Central. The tenant named in the filing is Oppenheimer, a global full-service brokerage and investment bank.
The plans, pre-filed on November 1, 2018, call for work on floors 12 through 14 and the 21st floor of the 320-foot tall, 32-story, building.
The project is described in the filings as: minor demolition. installation of new partitions, doors, suspended ceilings, flooring and finishes as per plans (Oppenheimer – buildout.) No change to use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $3,064,499.
Oppenheimer’s flagship office at 666 Third Avenue is occupied by roughly 100 financial advisors who manage over $18 billion in assets for both domestic and international private clients.
Loffredo Brooks Architects PC was the architect for the project.
Tishman purchased the building in 1998, roughly 46 years after it was built. Since then, Madison International Realty has acquired just under a 49 percent stake in the building. The building has been home to numerous other high profile tenants such as the European Union, The Government of The Netherlands and Wells Fargo Bank.
