Tishman files plans for $11.8M rehab of floors leased by Katten at 50 Rock

Tishman Speyer, on July 13, filed plans for a $11.8M rehabilitation of several floors of a building at 50 Rockefeller Plaza in the Plaza District of Manhattan.

The floors are leased by Chicago-based law firm Katten, which announced plans for a long-term lease covering approximately 125,000 square feet of office space at 50 Rockefeller Plaza in 2019. Asking rents in the building, at the time of Katten’s announcement, were reported to be $84 to $103 a square foot.

One day earlier Tishman filed plans for $3 million of work on the same floors of the building, which PincusCo reported on Wednesday.

The plans call for work on floors six through 10 of the building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00515545.

The project is described in the filing as: Removal and installation of interior nonbearing partitions as per plans filed herewith. No change in use, egress or occupancy under this application.

The architect listed is Gensler.
