VAJA Group files plans for 26-unit mixed-use building in Mott Haven

The VAJA Group, on February 17, filed a permit application for construction of a 26-unit, 23,813-square-foot mixed-use building at 499 Concord Avenue in Mott Haven, Bronx. Moses Freund, managing partner at the VAJA Group, filed the plans.

The developer recently filed plans for the construction of a 31-unit, 21,298-square-foot residential building at 2556 Briggs Avenue in Fordham Manor, the Bronx. Back in December of last year, the developer filed a permit application for construction of a 152-unit, 102,994-square-foot residential building at 35-10 12th Street in Long Island City, Queens.

In the previous 12 months there have been 12 new building plans, including these plans, filed in Mott Haven.

The plans call for the construction of a 75-foot-tall, seven-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number X00679065. The development site spans one tax lot.

The project is described in the filing as: proposed seven-story and cellar mixed-use new building.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have community space and parking space. The second floor will have community space and an exercise room. Floors three through six will each have five dwelling units, and the seventh floor will have six dwelling units.

The architect listed is S. Wieder Architect P.C.

The property was acquired for $300,000 on June 7, 2018.
