VAJA Group files plans for 152-unit resi building in LIC

The VAJA Group, on December 22, filed a permit application for construction of a 152-unit, 102,994-square-foot residential building at 35-10 12th Street in Long Island City, Queens. Moses Freund, managing partner at the VAJA Group, filed the plans.

The plans call for the construction of an 80-foot-tall, eight-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00650506. The development site spans one tax lot.

The developer provided the following rendering.

The project is described in the filing as: proposed new eight-story residential building.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a lobby and 61 parking spaces. The second floor will have recreation spaces and 22 dwelling units. Floors three and four will each have 27 dwelling units, and floors five and six will each have 22 dwelling units. The sixth floor will also have recreation space. The seventh floor will have 19 dwelling units and the eighth floor will have 13 dwelling units.

The architect listed is S. Wieder Architect P.C.

The property was acquired for $4.8 million on March 18, 2015.

Back in July the developer filed a permit application for construction of a 73-unit, 53,929-square-foot mixed-use building at 1420 Stebbins Avenue in Morrisania, the Bronx.
