Torkian Group files plans for 106-unit development in Yorkville
UPDATED: The Torkian Group, on July 16, filed a permit application for construction of a 106-unit, 120,969-square-foot mixed-use, building at 250 East 83rd Street in Yorkville, Manhattan. Annie Xiao filed the plans.
The plans call for the construction of a 272-foot-tall, 23-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00547165. The development site spans one tax lot.
The project is described in the filing as: Filing to erect a 23-story mixed use new building, (affordable housing indicated on filing to show it has obtained 2 FAR from an off-site affordable project). HUB consultation accepted on 06/24/2021.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a residential lobby. Floors two through five will each have 10 dwelling units per floor. The sixth floor will have yoga rooms, an exercise room, lounge, and playroom. Floors seven through 10 will each have five dwelling units per floor, floors 11 through 21 will each have four dwelling units per floor, while floors 22 and 23 will each have one dwelling unit. The roof will have recreation space.
The architect listed is SLCE Architects.
The property was acquired with two other properties for $8 million on October 7, 2005.
The Parkland Group recently filed plans for the construction of a 103,412-square-foot storage building at 424 East 90th Street in Yorkville.
