The Marcal Group files plans for 66-unit resi building in Far Rockaway
Mark Caller’s Marcal Group, on February 16, filed a permit application for construction of a 66-unit, 45,647-square-foot building at 11-27 Foam Place in Far Rockaway, Queens. Abraham Caller, project manager at the firm, filed the plans.
The developer recently filed plans for construction of a 187-unit, 180,091-square-foot residential building at 3250 Westchester Avenue in Pelham Bay, the Bronx. Last September, the developer filed plans for the construction of a 26-unit, 20,172-square-foot residential building at 22-25 New Haven Avenue, also in Far Rockaway.
There have been 18 new building plans, including these plans, filed in Far Rockaway in the previous 12 months. The 18 plans combined to call for the construction of 263 dwelling units in the neighborhood.
The plans call for the construction of an 85-foot-tall, eight-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00665670. The development site spans one tax lot.

The project is described in the filing as: new eight-story, 66-family building, with stackable on-site enclosed parking spaces in cellar.
Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a terrace, recreation room, and six dwelling units. Floors two through five will each have nine dwelling units per floor, and floors six though eight will each have eight dwelling units per floor. The roof will have recreation space. The cellar will have 38 parking spaces.

The property was acquired for $2.1 million on February 5, 2018.
