The Chetrit Group files plans for 359-unit mixed-use building in Jamaica

The Chetrit Group, on February 17, filed a permit application for construction of a 359-unit, 274,837-square-foot mixed-use building at 147-27 Archer Avenue in Jamaica, Queens. Meyer Chetrit, who leads the firm along with his brothers Joseph, Juda and Jacob Chetrit, filed the plans.

There have been 31 new building plane, including these plans, filed in Jamaica in the previous 12 months. The 31 plans combined to call for the construction of 1,770 dwelling units in the neighborhood. Out of the 31 plans, these plans called for the construction of the third most dwelling units.

The project has an initial cost of $100,000,000, per the filing.

The plans call for the construction of a 231-foot-tall, 20-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number Q00676542. The development site spans multiple tax lots.

The project is described in the filing as: proposed new 20-story mixed-use building as per plans filed.

According to the plans, the ground floor of the building will have three retail spaces and a residential lobby. The second floor will have parking for 137 cars. The third floor will have lounges, recreation spaces, a yoga room, a kid’s playroom, a game room, a fitness room, and two dwelling units. Floors four through 20 will each have 21 dwelling units per floor. The cellar will have additional parking space.
