Brooklyn Home submits $30M condo plan in Gowanus, 4th plan submitted this year

The Brooklyn Home Company submitted a condominium plan for 14 residential units at 670 Union Street in Gowanus, Brooklyn.

The condo plan, CD210130, has a sellout price of $29.9 million with the New York State Attorney General. William Caleo is listed as the principal of the sponsor.

Brooklyn Home has a number of projects in the borough. For example, on November 25, the city give a permit for construction of a 34-unit, 47,069-square-foot residential building at 350 Butler Street in Park Slope. Brooklyn Home has submitted at least 10 condo plans since January 2018 with the New York State Attorney General, according to a review of state records, with a total current sellout of $150 million. This is the fourth plan submitted this year, according to PincusCo data of condo filings.

In October of 2018, Caleo filed new building plans with the New York City Department of Buildings calling for the construction of a 70-foot tall, six-story, 23,593-square-foot residential building with 14 dwelling units at the property.

The plans were permitted in April of 2019, but have not received a TCO yet, although it has been filed for.

Per the DOB plans, the ground floor of the building will have a lobby and two dwelling units. Floors two and three will each have two dwelling units, floors four and five will each have three dwelling units, and the sixth floor will have two dwelling units. The roof will have private terraces.

Mesh Architecture is the architect for the project.

The developer purchased the property for $1,832,850 in 2017, according to city records.
