TCO for 89-key hotel in Jamaica
Surjeet Kaur under the Umbrella Investors LLIC, on February 25, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for construction of a 89-key, 27,969-square-foot hotel building at 147-16 97th Avenue in Jamaica.
The plans, pre-filed on June 6, 2019, call for the construction of a 82-foot tall, eight-story hotel. The time from pre-file to TCO was one year and nine months.
The project is described in the filings as: this application is filed for new eight-story transient hotel.
The ground floor of the building has a lobby, reception area, office, vestibule area, and 10 rooms. Floors two through four each have 14 rooms per floor, floors five through seven each have nine rooms per floor, while the eighth floor has five rooms. The cellar has five rooms, breakfast area and pantry room, and laundry.
M S Savani Architects PC was the architect.
The property was acquired for $4.5 million on January 4, 2019.
