TCO for 87-key hotel in Bed-Stuy, nearly eight years after plans were filed

Rajendra Patel, under Goldmine Development Inc., on January 11, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for construction of an 87-key, 39,842-square-foot hotel at 1090 Myrtle Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

The plans, pre-filed on March 20, 2013, call for the construction of a 71-foot tall, seven-story hotel building. The time from pre-file to TCO was seven years and 10 months.

The project is described in the filings as: proposed seven-story new hotel.

The ground floor of the building has a lobby, business center, office, and breakfast area, per the plans. The second floor has 12 rooms, laundry, and recreation space. Floors three through six each have 16 rooms per floor, while the seventh floor has 11 rooms and storage space. The building also has parking space for 11 cars.

Thee Shiun Ken was listed as the architect.

The property was acquired for $1.7 million on September 21, 2012.
