Taconic permitted for Midtown West demo ahead of 294K sf development

Taconic Partners, on June 16, was given a permit for the demolition of a 62,416-square-foot office building at 308 West 43rd Street in Midtown West. Taconic and National Real Estate Advisors partnered to ground-lease the land from the union 1199SEIU.

The plans, pre-filed on September 29, 2020, call for the demolition of a 15-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: demolition of entire building.

In March of 2020, the developer filed plans for the construction of a 401-foot tall, 32-story, 294,761-square-foot mixed-use building with 321 residential units.

The plans were disapproved earlier this month, it is currently unclear if Taconic plans to file again or change their development plans.
