Taconic permitted for $40.4M conversion to life sciences building in Lincoln Square

Taconic Partners, on March 12, was given a permit for a $40.4 million project redevelop 125 West End Avenue into a state-of-the-art, research and laboratory complex in Lincoln Square.

The plans, pre-filed on November 23, 2020, call for work on the basement, roof, and all floors of the 104-foot tall, seven-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: filing for interior and exterior modifications associated with major core renovation project, including stair relocations, elevator and building core modifications and exterior facade and roof replacement and new marquee installation. No change to use, egress or occupancy under this application. All use, egress, and occupancy changes are filed/approved under Alt 1 #123725184. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $40,361,330.

Taconic purchased the building, along with 320 West 66th Street and an adjacent lot which comes with 105,575-square-feet of development rights, for $220 million from Silverstein Properties last year.
