Taconic permitted for 321-unit mixed-use building in Midtown West

Taconic Partners, on November 19, received a permit for construction of a 321-unit, 294,761-square-foot mixed-use building at 312 West 43rd Street in Midtown West. Colleen Wenke, president and chief operating officer, at Taconic, filed the plans. he building will have a north and south tower.

The plans, pre-filed on March 9, 2020, call for the construction of a 401-foot tall, 32-story, 294,761-square-foot residential building with 321 residential units.

The project is described in the filings as: herewith propose to erect a new 32-story and cellar mixed-use building.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have a residential building and several retail spaces. The second floor will have a reading room, garden, lounge, business center, yoga studio, exercise rooms, a sauna, steam room, and 12 dwelling units. The remaining dwelling units will span the upper floors of the towers. There will also be a swimming pool located on the 31st floor.

Handel Architects is listed as the architect.

The developer filed demolition plans for the 62,416-square-foot office building at the site in October of last year.
