Taconic files to demolish 15-story building in Midtown West, ahead of 294K sf development

Taconic Investment Partners, on September 29, filed a permit application for the demolition of a 62,416-square-foot office building at 308 West 43rd Street in Midtown West. Taconic and National Real Estate Advisors partnered to ground-lease the land from the union 1199SEIU and build a rental tower. The development has the addresses 310 or 312 West 43rd Street.

The demolition plans call for taking down a 192-foot tall, 15-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: demolition of entire building.

The demolition will make way for a 294,761-square-foot, 321-unit mixed-use building which the developer filed plans for back in March.

The 401-foot tall, 32-story building will have 269,559-square-feet of residential space and 25,202-square-feet of commercial space.

Handel Architects is listed as the architect for the new building.
