Steven Li permitted for 55-unit resi building in Kew Gardens

Steven Li, on December 17, was given a permit for construction of a 55-unit, 37,679-square-foot residential building at 82-77 116th Street in Kew Gardens.

In June of 2018, the developer filed plans for a seven-story residential building at 116-17 Grosvenor Lane, on the same block.

The plans, pre-filed on February 22, 2021, call for the construction of a 90-foot tall, nine-story, 37,679-square-foot residential building with 55 residential units.

The project is described in the filings as: proposed a new nine-story residential building with partially designated affordable independent residences for seniors ‘airs’, and community facility ambulatory diagnostic health care facility obtain new C of O.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have seven dwelling units. Floors two through six will each have seven dwelling units per floor. The seventh floor will have six dwelling units and the lower half of one duplex unit. The eighth floor will have four dwelling units and the upper half of one duplex unit. The penthouse will have recreation space. The roof will have recreation space.

Tan Architect PC is listed as the architect.

The property has been vacant since 2006, when demolition of the two-story building that previously occupied the property was completed.

The property was acquired for $2.6 million on December 1, 2020.
