State finishes $5.6M rehab of Brooklyn College roof in Midwood

The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, on January 28, formally completed a $5.6 million rehabilitation of the roof a Brooklyn College building, known as Ingersoll Hall, at 2955 Bedford Avenue in Midwood.

The plans, pre-filed on November 12, 2019, call for a rehab of the roof of the 62-foot tall, five-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: Brooklyn College, Ingersoll Hall extension – roof repairs including railing installation as per the plans filed. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $5,600,000.

Superstructures Eng + Arch is the architect on the filing.

The rehab is part of a series of improvements to the science facilities and old lecture halls throughout the college’s campus.

The plans were permitted in July.
