State files plans for $4M piping rehab of Baruch College building in NoMad

The Dormitory Authority of the State of New York filed plans for a $4 million rehabilitation of pipes in the Newman Library at Baruch College, located at 151 East 25th Street in Kips Bay, Manhattan.

The plans call for the replacement of pipes in the building, and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under number M00501249.

The project is described in the filings as: replacement of hot and cold glycol piping at Baruch College.

Genesys Engineering, P.C. is listed as the architect.

The building was originally constructed in the 189os for the Metropolitan Street Railway Company of New York, before being acquired by the Lexington Company and serving as a power station for the city’s cable car system.
