State files plans for 218K sf commercial garage with community space in Kew Gardens

New York State Department of Transportation, on April 29, filed a permit application for construction of a 218,235-square-foot commercial garage building with community space at 80-25 126th Street in Kew Gardens, Queens. Rebecca Clough filed the plans.

The plans call for the construction of a 92-foot tall, nine-story commercial building, and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under number Q00495324. The building will span one tax lot.

The project is described in the filing as: Proposed new nine-story parking facility with cellar (218,083 gross square foot; 612 parking spaces) and two-story community space with cellar (29,231 gross square feet).

According to the plans, the first and second floors of the building will have community space. The remaining floors of the building will be used as a parking garage.

Urbahn Architects is listed as the architect.

The estimated job cost is $10 million.
