State, city roundup: Hospitals finishes $50.2M rehab, DASNY files $3.7M plans
New York City Health + Hospitals, on October 21, completed a $50.2 million rehabilitation of multiple floors of the North Central Bronx Hospital at 3424 Kossuth Avenue in Riverdale.
The project was to renovate the building’s surge capacity.
The plans, pre-filed on April 21, call for a rehab of floors six, 10, and 15 through 17 of the 403-foot tall, 18-story, building.
The project is described in the filings as: interior renovation on parts of sixth and 10th floors and full floors 15 through 17 as indicated on attached plans. Surge capacity emergency renovation project. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $50,244,614.

In the second project, the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York, on October 21, filed a permit application for a $3.7 million rehab to the roof of a Queens College building at 64-50 Kissena Boulevard in Kew Gardens Hills, Queens.
The plans call for a rehab of the roof of the 15-foot tall, one-story, building.
The project is described in the filings as: remove existing roofing and replace with new roofing at queens college dining hall, extend and replace equipment supports, partial railing installation and localized masonry repairs. This application to replace dob #421639285, doc 01 which must be refiled due to age of application. No change in use, egress or occupancy. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $3,687,341.
