Solomon Feder permitted for 99-unit resi building in Astoria

Solomon Feder, on January 8, was given a permit for construction of a 99-unit, 67,618-square-foot residential building at 26-24 4th Street in Astoria. The permits issued were earthwork and plumbing permits. The developer received their initial foundation and new building permits last month.

While Feder filed the new building plans, Joseph Brunner’s Bruman Realty is the owner of the property, purchasing it for $11.5 million on January 17, 2019.

The property owner secured a $22.7 million construction loan from Bank Leumi for the property last year. The deal closed on August 17, 2020.

The plans, pre-filed on April 12, 2019, call for the construction of a 74-foot tall, seven-story, residential building.

The project is described in the filings as: proposing multi-story residential building.

The building will have several recreation spaces, per the plans. There will be residential units on all floors of the building. The ground floor will also have a lobby and the building will have 50 parking spaces.

JFA is listed as the architect.
