Paul Matalon of Solomon Equities, on May 13, filed plans for a project to convert a two-story commercial building to a 38-unit mixed-use building at 1325 Broadway in Bushwick, Brooklyn. The project will increase the size of the building from 21,560 square feet to 41,602 square feet.

Back in March, the developer filed a permit application for construction of an 89-unit, 65,351-square-foot mixed-use building at 850 Lexington Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn.

The plans call for the increase in size of the building from a 25-foot tall, two-story commercial building to a 75-foot tall, seven-story building with 38 dwelling units. This was filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number B00734349.

The development site spans one tax lot. The lot has a width of 33 feet.

The project is described in the filing as: application filed herewith to horizontally and vertically enlarge commercial building and to convert into a residential mixed-use building, total of seven-stories with 38 dwelling units.

Per the plans, retail space will remain on floors one and two. In addition to the retail space, the ground floor will gain community space and residential space. The third floor will have three dwelling units and recreational space. The fourth floor will have four dwelling units. The fifth floor will have three dwelling units and gym space. Floors six and seven will each have gym space. The roof will have recreation space. The cellar will have retail space.
