SL Green permitted for Lenox Hill demo ahead of Armani retail and condo development
SL Green Realty, on July 1, was given a permit for the demolition of a building at 760 Madison Avenue in Lenox Hill.
The plans, pre-filed on May 21, 2020, call for the demolition of a four-story building.
The developer also recently received permits for the demolition of 762 Madison Avenue, which is mid-block between 65th Street and 66th Street.
SL Green and Armani Group plan to develop a retail location for Armani with luxury residential condos at the site. In February of 2019, the developer filed plans for the construction of an 86,192-square-foot mixed-use building with 17,594-square-feet of commercial space and 68,598-square-feet of residential space. The 11 dwelling units will average more than 6,000 square feet per unit.
COOKFOX Architects, who is designing the building, released renderings on its website.

In 2012, SL Green and Stonehenge Partners partnered to purchase a portfolio from David Frankel Realty for $412 million, which included 762 Madison Avenue along with nine other buildings. As of January 2020, SL Green owns the entire asset.
