SL Green files $3.1M plans in Amazon-leased building to add cafeteria, increase density in Hudson Yards
SL Green Realty, on September 3, filed a permit application for a $3.1 million project that will add a cafeteria and nearly double the occupancy of one floor of their 490,727-square-foot office building at 410 Tenth Avenue also known as 460 West 34th Street in Hudson Yards. The developer has filed eight A1 or A2 renovation plans at the building so far this year.
The plans call for an increase in occupancy and change in use to part of the 15th floor of the 200-foot tall, 19-story building.
The project is described in the filings as: alteration 1 application filed herein to increase occupant load and change of use on 15th floor. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $3,050,000.
The project will nearly double the office space on the 15th floor as well as add a cafeteria. The developer recently completed a $1.4 million rehabilitation of the eighth floor of the building, which is also used for office space.
SL Green bought a majority stake in the building in a deal that valued the property at $440 million back in December of 2018. Kaufman Organization is the building’s minority stake owner.
In December of 2019, Amazon signed a lease for 335,000-square-feet of space in the building.
