Sky Management receives TCO for 140-unit mixed-use building in Yorkville

Sky Management, on February 5, was issued a temporary certificate of occupancy for construction of a 140-unit, 108,427-square-foot mixed-use building at 511 East 86th Street in Yorkville. Benjamin Ohebshalom, president at Sky Management, filed the plans.

The plans, pre-filed on March 31, 2017, call for the construction of a 230-foot tall, 22-story mixed-use building. The time from pre-file to TCO was three years and 11 months.

The project is described in the filings as: proposed mixed-use building with cellar, with 22-stories.

The ground floor of the building has multiple retail spaces and a residential lobby, per the plans. Amenities in the building include recreation areas, a dog spa, exercise room, reading room, and several roof decks. Residential units start on on the second floor. Several of the buildings units are duplexes.

Arquitectonica was in charge of the building’s design.

According to reports, EP Engineering was also involved, tasked with creating an environmentally friendly passive house. EP Engineering’s work intends to have the building consume 20 percent of the energy relative to similar structures.
