SK Development files plans for nine-unit mixed-use building in Soho

SK Development, on July 22, filed a permit application for construction of a nine-unit, 25,552-square-foot mixed-use building at 182 Spring Street in Soho, Manhattan. Scott Shnay, who is a principal along with his father Abe at SK Development, filed the plans.

Madison Realty Capital purchased the parcel, along with 190 Spring Street, 188 Spring Street, and 186 Spring Street from Opal Properties for $28 million late last summer.

The plans call for the construction of a 75-foot-tall, seven-story building and were filed with the New York City Department of Buildings under job number M00553059. The development site spans two tax lots.

The project is described in the filing as: Application to be assigned to HUB per Consultation meeting on 1/29/2021. Construction of a new seven-story mixed-use building.

Per the plans, the ground floor of the building will have retail space, community facility space, and a residential lobby. Floors two through four will each have two dwelling units per floor, the second floor will also have amenity space. Floors five through seven will each have one dwelling unit per floor. The roof will have recreation space.

The architect listed is Selldorf Architects.

Last month DHA Capital was given a permit for the demolition of a building at 30 Thompson Street in Soho where there are plans for a 134-foot tall, 10-story, 47,648-square-foot commercial building with residential space.
