Silverstein finishes a $6.5M single-floor rehab at the Equitable Life Building

Silverstein Properties, on July 23, completed a $6.5 million rehab of one floor of the Equitable Life Building at 120 Broadway in Financial District.

The plans, pre-filed on January 31, 2018, call for a rehab of the ground floor of the 542-foot tall, 41-story, building. The plans were permitted on August 17, 2018.

The project is described in the filings as: architectural work on the first floor as indicated on drawings. The initial cost as reported in the DOB filing for the work described in this permit application is $6.5 million.

Beyer Blinder Belle is the architect on the original application.

Silverstein has filed a series of renovations at the buildings throughout the first half of 2020. The most expensive was a $4,580,000 fit-out of the 15th and 16th floors for tenant, Thornton Tomasetti.

Earlier this year, on March 13, Silverstein signed a loan agreement with lender Wells Fargo Bank valued at $410 million at 120 Broadway.
