Shloime Gross files plans for 59-unit mixed-use building in Washington Heights
Shloime Gross through the company 26 Sherman Residence LLC, on November 10, filed a permit application for construction of a 59-unit, 47,966-square-foot mixed-use building at 26 Sherman Avenue in Washington Heights.
The plans call for the construction of a 84-foot tall, eight-story mixed-use building.
The project is described in the filings as: eight-story mixed-use new building (NB) application, general retail and community facility on ground floor, 59 dwelling units on floors two through eight.
The building will have 39,929-square-feet of residential space, 7,538-square-feet of commercial space, and 499-square-feet of community space
Per the plans, the cellar of the building will have an exercise room and recreation room. The ground floor will be split between a residential lobby, ambulatory diagnostic facility space, and five retail spaces. Floors two through four will each have nine dwelling units per floor, while floors five through eight will each have eight units per floor.

Demolition plans were filed last month for the one-story structure on the property.
