DBI Projects files plans for construction of a 78K sf school in Highbridge

DBI Projects, on November 10, filed a permit application for construction of a 78,450-square-foot school building at 1504 Macombs Road in Highbridge, the Bronx.

The plans call for the construction of a 74-foot tall, six-story building.

The project is described in the filings as: construct new six-story building community facility use building as per plans filed.

According to the plans, the cellar will have storage space, laundry facilities, office space, locker rooms, and a gym. The ground floor will have a lobby, office space, conference room, cafetorium, classroom space, nurse suite, kitchen, and servery. The second floor will have classroom space and outdoor play yards. Floors three through five will have office and classroom space, while the sixth floor will be used for storage.

Rogers Partners is listed as the architect.

Demolition plans were filed in August for the two-story structure currently occupying the property. The plans are awaiting permits.
